Blogging Tips and Inbound Marketing Help You To Get Found Online

10 Methods to Propel Your Blog to Fame

Oh my – the power of blogging; everyone wants to be the top dog but few know how to get there. The 10 quickest sure-fire ways to reach the top of search engine heaven starts with your conversation and ends with optimization. Blogs are already search engine and user-friendly but few bloggers use every single opportunity for them to rise among the noise of their competition.

Here is how you kick dust towards the other 113,000,000 bloggers;

  1. There are a myriad of choice conversations out there but the best way to select your Niche is start by identifying your own interests and passions. You need to find something to say that’s unique. Specialized information, industry insight or vision or trend is a great approach for blogging.
  2. Remember, consumers are looking for results and will pay for solutions to their problems. Investigate your target market’s problems; find resolutions for their problems and provide expert advice to their problems. If you want to target future auto loan or other businesses clients, make sure to find ways to give them vital information.
  3. Keyword Research; do you know which terms and phrases customers will be looking for? That’s one of the most important factors in blogging – keywords and site optimization. Take your niche ideas and think about what kind of keywords people would be typing into search engines.
  4. Update your blog frequently. Search engines respond more favourably to blogs that update information several times a week. Your traffic will increase simply from engaging your audience with new info, thus pushing you further up the SEO ladder.
  5. Make sure your blog has all the attributes that search engines look for; can your site be evaluated? Many bloggers lust for all the newest bells and whistles like flash or an abundance of images of cars, auto loans and other products. These can be problematic elements that hinder search engine spiders from seeing what’s on your site. Evaluate your site frequently by reviewing your source code and ensuring the search engines can see each page.
  6. Another criteria search engines use to evaluate your blog is linking. How important are you? Some of your site’s overall success is based on how many other sites are linking back to you, but this is based mostly on quality of content (meaning you have written something of great value that many others want to promote, thus many people are linking back to your site). Look for relevant keyword links back to your site; this is the fastest way to move up your page rank and move forward in the search engines.
  7. A great way to expose your site to millions of users is to “Stumble it,” by using a website called Stumble Upon. This site works through reference and sharing. You rate your own site providing a description and wait for people to visit. There are many bloggers who have averaged over 500 visitors just from being “Stumbled.”
  8. Using Smart Content is another top ten primary ways of securing traffic. Take a look at your keyword list and be sure to include at least one of your top keywords in every Title, Headline and Paragraph of your content. And forget about maximizing your keyword density because it usually turns out to become nothing more than keyword stuffing. Err on the side of great content that makes sense with fewer keywords. Your audience will appreciate it and respect you for no-nonsense writing.
  9. Making a Great Homepage is one of the key elements of blogging. I’m not talking about pretty pictures and colors; you don’t have to hit your audience over the head with slogans but you do have to engage your visitor and convince them that you know what you’re talking about. Include an email opt-in to build your subscriber list; include a personal component that users can relate to – stories from real people to build trust. Your home page is your first impression so you need to be impressive.
  10. And lastly, most bloggers never perform any quality assurance. Once a week every blogger needs to test their functionality and usability of their blog. Do all the links work; are there any spelling errors? Is it easy to find things on your site, if not your audience will surely get tired of searching and it’s on to your competitor.

Every blogger dreams of web domination but if your blog isn’t all it can be what’s the point of having a blog at all?

  1. While I haven’t propelled my blog to fame, I do find that the posts that provide solutions to problems do well with search engine traffic. The top five posts that draw the most search engine traffic are how-to posts. The key is to create a post title the includes the problem, whether it is a product or an error message. If you can do that, then you can rank really well, in a short time I found out.
