How To Redirect Blogger To Custom Domain?


Today, is about one month I’m blogging with my new self hosting WordPress blog. I really enjoy setting up my blog, even I have no idea how to run a blog with self hosted blog, but everything is going on the right track now.

I have friends that guide me with my new blog here and I search on Google how to set up a new blog with self hosted WordPress. I’m using all free resources I can get. Because I always believe that there are so many free information on the net from generous people who share their knowledge.

Now we go to the point about this article. First, there’s so many achievement with my blogger blog. I met so many good friends, experiences on blogging, Page Rank 2 and others that I can say it here one by one.

Second, I have to decide to close my old blog, even its hard to me :( Today I just redirect my blogger blog to my new blog. Friends told me about duplicate content if still let the old blog without redirect to the new one. So I follow all the advices and redirect my blogger blog to my new blog.

Avoid about duplicate content, keep my visitors and friend visit my blog, send people from the search engine to my blog and the important thing is a friend said that I can keep my Page Rank with this redirect, let’s wait and see if its true or not. Friends, Finally I’m redirecting my old blog to this blog.


How to redirect your blogger to your own domain?

No big deal friends, like always there’s just a few easy steps. I assume that you are already buy a new domain as your old blog destination. Let’s start!

  1. Log in to your Blogger account.
  2. Select a blog you want to Redirect.
  3. From your blog dashboard click setting > click publishing. Because I want to publish my blog to my own domain, so I changed from publishing with blogspot.com to custom domain.redirect01 How To Redirect Blogger To Custom Domain?
  4. Go to advance setting and add your URL, don’t forget to put www on your custom domain name and enable the redirect your old blog to your custom domain.redirect02 How To Redirect Blogger To Custom Domain?
  5. Verify and done!

Its not that hard isn’t it? Now your visitors will redirect to your custom domain. If someone find your old blog they’re will be redirect to your new blog.

    and one humble suggestion of mine:- Remove this Live Wire (Bookmark & Share) Button at end of the post. its not looking well and more its showing ads while hovering.   7. Be careful with the option to redirect the domain name without www to the www one, in the checkbox above the domain name. I had strange problems with this going disabled and causing strange behavior.
