The Blog Promoter
I’m active on LinkedIn now, because I found that LinkedIn will give me more opportunity to meet a new people and LinkedIn is a great place to learn something because it discussion board. Discussions on LinkedIn is my new source of learning, I love visited the discussion and learn from others.
Starting a week a go, I’m became a manager of The Blog Promoter on LinkedIn and this will give me more change to get more visibility and authority, to get more traffic, giving my blog various visitors. I’ll try to manage the group that will bring more benefits to all members, especially on promoting member’s blog.
I want the group become one of the place that member consider to promote their blog, of course this group won’t be able to beat Facebook and Twitter, lol! At least the members considering to use this group to promote their blogs.

Linkedlin is widely used by all professionals who are at the start of their career to managers. Unlike all social networks sites, this is a site which is useful and promoting a blog through linkedlin will add credibility to it.

I think it is appropriate to add the former bosses as contacts. I think the aim of Linkedin is to develop networks that will help you in your career. You will be a valuable contact for your former bosses as well, as long as you did a good job there. Perhaps friends of theirs might be looking for someone with your degree and skills who is a proven hard worker. Having you in their contacts will make them look good to their own contacts if they can recommend you. Everyone wins!
Other than former bosses, you can also add former coworkers, fellow students and teachers from your school and friends in similar industries to yours. I think the biggest rule is to only add people who you know personally. Once you are working in your career, you can add people you meet with whom you exchange business cards.

Wow, I never actually thought about using LinkedIn to promote a website. I always thought of it just for networking in hopes to help with a career. This shows to always be open to the many features of the many great sites out there.

Linkedin is huge in the netherlands, almost every business partner i work with in my profession signed up at linked-in. The idea behind it is just fantastic. The website is a dream for recruiters also!
