Blogging is something which helps us express our views in forms of our writings. Many Bloggers start their blog with a dream to earn some bucks online, but most of them fail to succeed online because it requires lot of patience and effort to build a blog which can build leads and loyalty online. A newbie blogger always asks professional ones that how i can build traffic to my blog.

Answer: You can always build traffic to your blog by writing good quality content, building links, Guest Posting on other blogs and by doing on-page seo for your blog.

Today, I’m going to tell you that how one could build hundreds or even thousands of visits a day by just helping others on discussion forums.

Forums are discussion boards that have some members who contribute to each other by posting on the forum. The Benefit of helping others on the forum is that you build up reputation on the forum, build links to your site, get traffic to your site and forums help you in selling your products online too.

How to Start
Getting started is very easy; you just have to get a profile for yourself on a discussion board which suits your interest. Some webmaster niche forums are:

  • Digital Point Forums
  • Site Point Forums
  • v7n Forums
  • Web Cosmo Forums

Building Reputation on the Forum
After getting a profile for yourself on the discussion board.Look for a sub-forum in the discussion board which is highly related to your interest. Question and Answer on that forum and increase your post count which will increase your trust among the forum users.

Building Links
Now a Days, Almost all forums allow us to put a signature which gets added automatically after every post which we make. That means more posts=more backlinks. And if you join more forums and start doing this, then you’ll be building hundreds of one-way high quality backlinks to your site easily. Be careful while posting as each and every post is monitored by the moderators of the forum and single red signal can easily destroy your reputation.

Sell Your Products using the Forum
When you’ve build reputation for yourself, people will start trusting you. You can use your reputation to increase sales of your products. Almost each and every online forum has a Buy/Sell section which is used by the users to purchase or sell their products.

Forum are good places to share knowledge and to get solution of a problem. Links from forums are also very helpful in enlisting a site in organic searches.

I write in many music forums (and I’ve got a music blog). Can’t see the “thousands of visits” effect, but probably it’s because music is less “famous” than webmaster niche forums.

There is also a “luck” factor that should be added to your article, anyway. Because there are blogs easier to promote and other ones that just survive with few visitors.

I love music but if I search the internet I will search for song and the singer, may be not so many people in your niche love to spend more time online.

getting your name out to as many places as possible is key to building up your reputation and getting traffic to your blog. I find that actively participating in forum discussions is one good way to getting to know people and giving them the opportunity to get to know you.

Forums are great source to get targeted traffic on your site but first you need to build your authority, that’s possible only by participating in fruitful discussions and avoid spamming.

I did a case study recently where I went a month posting ten times a day on Digital Point and I saw my traffic increase nicely. I stopped the posting and the traffic dropped, I soon picked it up again.

I now make about 50 posts a day on about 6 forums.

  9. Forums are amazing for driving traffic, especially when it’s a forum in the same niche that your website is in. I’ve found many new blogs through following links of posters that I liked and respected in my regular forums. Good post!

  10. I’ve build a lot of traffic to my sites with forums. While many people think that forum marketing doesn’t work, I found success with this method, especially in IM forums. I used to drive traffic to my squeeze pages, but today, I think it’s better to drive traffic to your blog (even though optin conversion rates will decrease) to drive trust with your visitors.

Forum marketing is a long term technique. Provide useful comments, and people will want to find more about you.

  11. This is one thing that I have absolutely not done. While some people absolutely vouch for the effectiveness of forums, I personally do not find it appealing. Perhaps I should try it out one of these days …
