Farewell MyBlogLog, RIP
Can you imagine if a blogger living without social media? A few minutes ago I received an email notification from Yahoo! that Yahoo! will soon close the service of a social network that is owned Yahoo! MyBlogLog.
I remember when it started its journey of blogging, MyBlogLog is one place to meet fellow bloggers or find blogs to visit. MyBlogLog is an ideal place for a beginner blogger.
Yes, MyBlogLog is one of my favorite blogs and articles to promote me by sending a message to my friends in my community. Along with the increasing severity of competition in the world of social media and MyBlogLog was not able to survive with more and more new social networking.
Prior to MyBlogLog, a social bookmarking propeller had already been closed by their owners, now it’s time to MyBlogLog. According to my notes, Yahoo Geocities previously been closed, now MyBlogLog.
Indeed, according to business calculations, if a service is not profitable why would proceed? Just a suggestion, if there is no way other than to close MyBlogLog? Like selling MyBlogLog to interested parties to manage and develop them? Rumor about MyBlogLog will discontinue already heard since last year and now is really going on. I just hope there will not be anything like this again in the future, keep blogging!

Hi Latief,
This was coming for some time and it was made obvious by their recent lack of support. However, I too will miss MyBlogLog as I’ve been an active member for more than 2 years and made lots of great friends and contacts.
Yes, several of these sites have closed and I’m sure there will be more. Can’t blame them though. It’s a major undertaking that takes loads of resources to maintain.
I’m sure I’ll being seeing you around on the other social networking sites.

How sad to hear it is being discontinued. I used the service about teo years ago when I first started seriously blogging. I know a lot of people who will be lost without it.

instead of closing the servicce , they could have autioned it in the web market for wnyone who can run it .. provided some conditions that the site will not be used for any other purpose ….. clsoing an old service is just not the right thing to do
