Google Doesn't Count "Keywords" Meta Tag
Few days a go I found this news, Google Doesn’t Count Keywords Meta Tag when rank our blog. It is said that keywords meta tag is not relevant anymore. Google know that we use keyword meta tag to cheat people when search trough the search engines. Most people change their keywords according to the top news around us. Google doesn’t like this.
“About a decade ago, search engines judged pages only on the content of web pages, not any so-called “off-page” factors such as the links pointing to a web page,” says Matt Cutts. “In those days, keyword meta tags quickly became an area where someone could stuff often-irrelevant keywords without typical visitors ever seeing those keywords. Because the keywords meta tag was so often abused, many years ago Google began disregarding the keywords meta tag.”
Meta tags are part of a website’s codes, which give extra information about the site to search engines. Meta tags are comprised of keywords that summarize what the site is about. This information is delivered to the search engine, which in turn will possess an idea about the main topics of the site.
Traditionally, search engine use Meta tags to decide if a particular site is relevant to a particular search. Theoretically, that makes these tags important for search engine algorithms. However, Google has—again and again—emphasized that these Meta tags have no relevance to search engine optimization (SEO).

In a recent report, it was explained that Google stopped making Meta tags an SEO factor upon learning that some websites started misusing them (i.e. when sites use Meta tags that are not relevant just to strengthen its search engine campaign).
So what we do? Just because Google doesn’t count keywords meta tag anymore, it doesn’t mean we must to ignore all meta tags. We still can use description meta tag, you can see this, some time Google put meta tag description on the search result pages. But, description meta tag doesn’t influence our ranking.
In my opinion, meta tag not created for Google so we can use it. At the same time other search engines still using meta tag to their rank. I think we still need other search engines as our traffic source. Or we can keep the keywords and hope Google change their own rule

Its fine and help many to "debunk their misconception."
brilliant reminder that google still calls the shot when it comes to search
In a way it is a good idea. It seemed like when you would search for things that was easy to find over a year ago is just bogged down with bloggers trying to sell something. Take a windows driver for example, you have to know the make of the driver and than find their website. Otherwise, you just get every blogger out there trying to promote windows drivers for $50
Google is not the only search engine in the world wide web, I agree on your view about this Bro, that is why I'll still be using the meta tags.Latief, if you have time, can you write on how to use meta tags effectively for blogspot blogs?I am stil in a blur about it, hope you can help!
Good post by the way. Keep it up!
