How To Import Your Blogger Blog To WordPress?
Now I’m blogging with WordPress, as I always blogging using blogger. Now I have my own domain, like my friends always suggested, as I always using free domain. I always wonder how to import my blogger blog if I have my new self hosting WordPress blog. I don’t want to loose my works just because I can’t import my blog contents and I don’t want to copy and paste the articles one by one.
A few days a go, I just imported my blogger blog to my new self hosting WordPress blog. First time I was failed and after a few experiments I’m success moving my blog from blogger to my new blog here. I think this tips will help you if you want to have your own domain but you don’t want to loosing your hard work on blogger, you don’t want to loosing your contents.
Before moving to my own self hosting I found a webhosting company to run my new blog. Reliable webhosting company is really important for our blog so our readers can enjoy our blog anytime 
with no downtime.
It’s so fresh to me because I just moved my blog contents on blogger to my blog hosting with WordPress. Here the tricks, its very easy, with a few clicks and your blog contents from blogger moving to WordPress.
Lets Start.
- Create an account on WordPress, you can skip this step if you already have one.
- Create a blog, make sure this blog still empty
. Delete all article and comments on your new blog. - When your blog is ready, find the import tab and click. Then choose Blogger and Authorized your action with log in to your blogger account.
- Now you are on your blogger account and you need to pick what blog that you want to import, click import. In few minutes your posts and comments will be imported to your WordPress blog. Done? No! Because we want to import to self hosting WordPress we need to export all the posts and comments to our self hosting blog.
- Next step is to import your posts, find the export tab and download export file.
- Now is the time to log in to your self hosting blog and import your blogger blog. Click import.
- Choose import WordPress.
- Browse the download file from step 5.
- Click upload file and import.
- Done!
Now you have all your posting on your new blog with self hosted WordPress. I hope this article will assist you to importing your blogger blog to your self hosting WordPress blog.

Hi Latief! First of all, nice work on your new blog. It utterly looks cool and I wish I have one like yours just as well. Unfortunately, purchasing a new domain name, promoting it, and transferring contents is something which feels like a big pain in the posterior for someone like me. Maybe I’ll just savor the fact that you’ve accomplished all that.
What I like about wordpress is the comment luv feature. I just can’t help myself leaving footprints on blogs like these. But, of course, I do read the articles, interact with the owner, and contribute as much as I can to the subject. I’m pretty sure that with your new blog, you’ll get even more people to come here than you did when you were still using blogger.
One thing I noticed though is that your homepage doesn’t seem to display the number of comments. I’m sure you can make that come out with just a few clicks on WP. =)

Hey latief ..First of all congratulation for your new blog and let me tell you something which you have done wrong here.
You have created a replica of same posts at two place and this is a clear way to create a duplicate issue.. in short.. You might penalize in terms of traffic…or you will get very less traffic for long time.. Since Google already rank your previous blog for the same keywords and posts…
The best way to do the redirection is 301 perma redirection… and when some one click on your old blog post link.. he will land into the exact same posts on your wordpress….
If you have done it recently I will suggest get help of someone ..who can help you here.. else in long run.. you might realize your mistake…which will be hard for any1 to recover..

No way bro, no way to import your blogger theme to wordpress they are using different codes. You need to hire a web designer if you really want to use your blogger template at your wordpress blog.

Hi Latief.
Nice post. Though with my previous experience, I have found that WordPress default importer breaks when we migrate larger blogs with thousands of posts.
hence we have developed our own importer for efficient migration (refer http://bloggertowp.org/whats-so-special-about-our-blogger-to-wordpress-migration-service/)
