Interview With Chandan Saud From Work At Home Blog
Hi Guys, this is another interesting Interview with my friend Chandan Saud from Work At Home Blog. He have an interesting story why we shouldn’t using blogspot blog if we really serious with our blog and blogging activities, or if you are blogging for your business.
Chandan now blog with WordPress as his blogging platform, in this interview he share his his tip about seo, making money online, work at home business and other things like social media. Please enjoy the interview.
1. Please introduce yourself. Where are you from, your daily activities, etc.
First I want to say thank you to Latief for invite me for the interview. I will not say that I am an experienced blogger, just want to inform about my blogging experience in this interview.
Well myself Chandan Saud from Work At Home Blog. I am living Noida one of the famous city of India. I am one part time blogger, I am working as SEO executive in one SEO organization in Noida.
2. Please tell us a story behind your blog
Well there is a big story behind my blogging life. I start my online life by blogging and I learned about SEO, social media after starting my blogging life. I have expressed my story why I have to start my blogging life at “About” section of my blog. I want to say shortly that I was running through struggling life which pulls me to be become blogger. Blogging is just the turning point of my life.
3. What is your Blogging Goal?
Before when I was running Blogspot blog my goal was to make money my blogging, because I had no option in my life that time. But as I learning more, my thinking about blogging also going change. My blogging goal is now build reputation on the Blogsphere as long as bring my blog top ten on some selected keywords.
4. Do you have a plan for your blog? A blogging plan to get your blogging goal?
I have not set any goal as I am part time blogger, I do not have much time for my blog. Blogging help me learning about SEO, internet marketing. So I can not leave blogging. I will be blogging for my enjoyment.
5. Do you believe Niche Blog is better?
Yes I completely believe it. If someone wants to make blog for business then their blog should be niche based. Because niche based blog convert more that I believe. I also like to be blogging on a particular niche. It also good for get returning visitors, as the visitors who subscribe to our blog would be expectation of getting information on that particular niche.
6.Do you make money from your blog?
Yes I earned money from my blog. First I earned by selling link on my blog, next I earned from adsense and also later by selling ad spot on my blog.
7. Do you have an article on Google SERPs, its natural or with SEO?
Well I will say sadly that the blogspot blog that I was running for one and half year was deleted by blogger team. I maintained that blog very nicely. The blog was top ten for some popular keywords like “legitimate work at home jobs”, “home affiliate programs”, “google work at home affiliates” and other link building, SEO and work at home related keyword. I can remember that I have made one post on that blog that is “dofollow link building resource” and this post give me very good traffic from google. Well now my new self hosted blog is only one month old so no any good stats right now.
8. Do you agree blogging is dead?
I do not think that blogging is dead. Blogging is a good way to learn about internet marketing. There are million of blog out there, but to bring your blog up from the crowd you have to work dedicatedly for your blog.
9. What do you think about SEO and Social Media, can they work together to help our blog? How?
This is one very good question. Our main target is to drive targeted traffic to our blog, it might be search engine traffic or social media traffic. Being one SEO executive I have understand that social media activities also can help us in our SEO campaign. I have seen very good jumping of keywords on Google after doing social bookmaking of my client site. Lately I have listen that the site which already got good social media promotion will prefer more on search engine, Google real time search also prove it as well. So I think that SEO and social media is connected each other.
10. Any SEO Tips for my beginners Friend?
SEO is one big game. I like to be working as SEO. SEO analyzing is one important thing while we do SEO for different niche website. Well there are so many SEO tips and I have been sharing the new SEO tips and strategy on my blog. Each time you do different SEO activities try to learn more from there. It is a good way to analyze your work. Do good onpage SEO for your blog. There are so many SEO plug ins which make easy you to do onpage SEO for your blog. While do offpage SEO for your blog, try to build quality and relevant link only. Do not waste your time for build irrelevant link or link by comment on spammy blogs. Google is going smarter than before so Google easily can identify our activities.
11. How blogger should dealing Social Media? Few of my friends said Social Media just wasting time.
Communication on social media is the biggest strategy for success in social media. If people do not know us then why they come to our blog and why they will help us for promote our site. Yes it is true that we have to be engage on social media for get benefit from there and so some people might be thing that it is the wasting of time.
12. I heard that you started a new blog with WordPress. Any Opinion about WordPress and Blogger?
Yes. After I change my blog platform to WordPress I become fan of WordPress. I have already made one post on my blog that is “Say Goodbye To Blogspot Blog”. where I have mentioned why serious blogger should not be blog on Blogspot. Your blogspot blog might be deleted any time without giving prior notice to you. I think that WordPress is the best platform for blog, we can easily customize our blog by using plug ins, Basically I like the social media integration of WordPress blog, while I was blogging on Blogpsot I was not much more active on social media, but after change my blog to WordPress I deeply involve in social media activities.
13. How do you promote your blog?
While time comes to promotion my first preference is search engine. While I see the traffic from Google on the Statcounter stats, I feel very happy. Thereafter my promotional platform is social media like Twitter, Facebook, Blogengage, Digg, Mixx. I also use Digital Point Forum, v7network Forum for promote my blog.
14. What is your main traffic source?
As my blog is new so I am not getting much traffic on my blog, also I do not get much time to work for my blog. On my Blogspot blog my main traffic source was Google as my blog was top ten for some very popular keyword. Right now I am getting few traffic from Blogengage and by blog commenting.
15. Any blogging tips for beginner?
Blogging is the best way to expand your knowledge. Being a blogger you can learn all things like SEO, social media, content development, networking. My advice is that do not just blog for making money, blog for learn. Once you expert in blogging you can learn how to make money from your blog.
16. Any tips for making money online? With or without blog?
From the last 2 years of blogging experience I can say that Adsense is good way for make money, but your blog should have good traffic to earn money from Adsense. I think the rest ways of make money blogging already know my friends.
Freelancing is another way for make money online, if you have knowledge and experience on web designing, web developing, SEO, link building you can start freelancing work. oDesk, Elance, GAF are some good marketplace of freelancing.
17. Any favorite blogger? How come?
My most favorite Bloggers are Hesham from FamousBloggers.Net, Lee from Myblog2day.Mom, Peter Lee from Work At Home Business Blog, Typhoon from SmartzBlogger.Com. I have been communicated with them since I started my blogging life. They are all helpful guys, They even help me on some situation while I build my WordPress blog.
18. Any suggestion a blogger for interview?
Yes, I suggest Peter Lee from work at home business blog for next interview. He is like my guruji. He is one experienced blogger and can share lots of things about his blogging life.
19. Any hobby or something not related with blog you want to share? Favorite Band, Movie or something?
My hobbies are listening musics, watching adventure type movies, swimming. My most favorite star is Jennifer Lopez. I am fan of her “waiting for tonight…” music video.

Thanks for sharing your tips Chandan, you are really awesome blogger.
Even I don’t like Blogspot i created maintained and done everything to promote it getting traffic even i have page rank 2 and was close to get page rank 3 at the end they pour the water on my hard work i done. That day i decided to shift to wordpress self hosting.
It was nice to hear from Chandan he told many common thing that a blogger faces or should in his carrier of blogging.

Yes, use blogspot to learn and when you feel you are getting serious with blogging, you should by your own domain and hosting

Thanks for like my interview. Yes making blog in a free domain is completely risk for us. So leave to blog on blogspot or like other sub domain and own your self hosted domain. It is better for blogger like us.

I think we should testing first before investing money.

In my experiences, its easy to get page rank with blogspot, commenting is my powerful weapon bro. My first blog with blogger get PR 1 in the first up date and then 2 at the second up date but it hard to get PR

Back few months a go Google deleted blogspot blog with making money niche, few ads and may be Google considered these blogs against there TOS, so few AdSense account has been deleted.
