Dana Lingga is an active blogger, a fellow blogger that help me with his articles to improve my blogging skills. He planed to increase his blogging earning trough AdSense with his new niche blog. This is really interesting, want to know more? Here the interview with Dana Lingga from LetUpDate Dot Com

1. Please tell us the story about your blogging activities, how did you start and what is your goal.
Hem… it is a long story exactly but I make it short this time. I started my serious blog journey because of my friend. He told me that blogging can become a good source of earning and he proved it to me by its own blog. Back then, I started on blogspot.com and realize fast that I need my own domain, WordPress platform, and own web hosting combination to be success to reach my blogging goal which is a good earning from blogging. Yeah, my first goal is just to make money from blogging but for now, my goal is to be full time blogger.

2. How a blogger should deal with SEO and Social Media? Any tips so blogger can success with the two of them?
A blogger should serious with at least one of SEO or Social Media – it is perfect if can serious with two of SEO and Social Media. It is because SEO and Social Media can bring a good amount of traffic which may become a loyal readers (or a buyers ) if capture it right. Therefore, in my opinion, the most important about SEO and Social Media is that how to capture the traffic become loyal or conversion (depended on what your target from SEO and Social Media, the readers or the buyers). So, before try to attract traffic from SEO or Social Media, please prepare your blog so can capture the traffic.

3. This day people always talking about blog to support a business, what do you think?
In my opinion, blogging is surely a great tool to support a business. By having a blog, a business owner can present their products on web 2.0 ways which surely more captivate than usual (static) web site. Also that, there is a high possibility to get free honest feedback from readers which can be used to improve the product. Another blog usability for business is as traffic generator. It is well-known that search engines (especially Google) like the blog regarding the heavy updating. Therefore blog is surely a great tool to attract the search engine traffic.

4. Is it worth for a company to make investment on a blog with seo or social media services? In simple words, a company hiring an seo company.
It is worth as long as it is a right reputable SEO Company. SEO (or Social Media) is not a magic so needed the experienced SEO Company to handle the SEO and Social Media venture with the right strategy. Therefore, before hire a SEO Company, the Company should do their research first. Also that, the Company should decide what goal that want to reach from SEO and Social Media. Without preparation, I can say that hiring a SEO Company will be useless.

5. Please share simple blogging tips for my beginners friend, what should they do if they want to become a successful blogger.
As I mentioned before that the blogger need a combination of own domain name, WordPress platform, and own web hosting to be real success. That’s the first required step on my opinion. And then, try to fill the blog with high quality content since content is still the king. At the first, try to at least have 10 articles published before try to utilize the blog with blog networking, SEO, Social Media, etc. Oh.. almost forgot the most important thing before start a blog. It is a goal. Yes, before start a blog (before do the first step), it is a must to decide the blogging goal since all the blogging activities will be depended on the blogging goal. Different goal means different way of blogging. So please always ask your self what do you want from a blog before start.

6. Please tell us how do you making money with your blogs, this is always be an important question for all blogger.
I make money by utilizing Google AdSense, Text Link Advertising, Banner Advertising, Blog Post Advertising, and Affiliate Marketing so far. These five are the fastest way to earn money from blog in my experience. However, own products/services is always the better way so I plan to have my own products/services in future to optimize my blog earning.

7. I heard you have some project this day, will you share us what what is your project?
A: Yes, currently I busy to create several niche blog (that’s why I reduce my blog posting frequent in my blogging tips blog (http://letudpate.com) be 3 times a week only). I create these niche blogs to optimize my Google AdSense earning. So far, this Google AdSense project is in right track – the Google AdSense earning improve significantly and I hope I can reach my goal of $1000 per month from Google AdSense next year.

8. Last question, how do you enjoy your time when you are not blogging? Watching movie, read your favorite book or playing chess may be? Please share with us.
I usually enjoy my leisure time by reading a novel or watching a dorama. In case you do not know, dorama is the Japanese TV series.

9. Any favorite blogger? And any suggestion for another blogger for the interview?
My favorite blogger is Karen from Blazing Mind since its blogging idea is always fresh. I enjoy read her blog. I would be great if you can interview her to see how she get that fresh idea.
