Why Links Are Important for SEOThis time I want to talk about links type my friends. I assume we are already optimizing our blog with relevant keywords, appropriate meta tag descriptions and content, etc. Link is one of the most important search engine optimization.

Developing links to our blog will increase our blog visibility on the search engines. Search engines see external links as an indication of relevancy and a signal that the content being linked to is of interest and value. As soon as your website content is identified as such by a search engine, your online visibility will increase and your page rank with it.

Links have their value? Yes. The most valuable link is link from government agencies, hospitals, universities and respected organizations. Then from relevant blog with high PR.

Link building is one of the most important aspects of a successful search engine optimization campaign. Although optimizing your site for relevant keywords, appropriate meta tag descriptions and content is important, developing external links to your website will set your website apart from the competition.

How to get quality link to your blog? No body wants to link exchange with your blog if your blog is poor and not interesting. So we have to create useful and informative contents for our blog. Interesting and appealing contents will attract other bloggers to link with your blog.

There are many ways of establishing external links. However, the most common linking strategies are the following:

  • One way links
  • Reciprocal links
  • Three way links

One Way Linking
A one way link is when a website links to your website without a link having to be reciprocated. The most common means of creating one directional links is through directory submission. Directory submission can be the quickest and most productive means to create links.

Reciprocal Linking
Reciprocal Linking. The second type of linking is reciprocal linking and involves the exchange of links between two websites. To begin reciprocal linking, it is important to prepare a list of blog that could be potential partners for reciprocal linking.

Three Way Linking
Three way linking is not a very common way of linking and its legitimacy is doubted. Three way linking involves linking between three or more blogs. For example blog (A) links to blog (B) and blog (B) links to blog (C) and the latter links to blog (A).

Now we know about how important links for our blog and we know about kind of links, so lets start our link building.

  1. Guest blogging can help also to generate three way ‘deep links’, by simply mention other related posts from your blog within your guest blog.

One way links can be done by commenting on ‘Do Follow blogs’, they link back to you. Write an educated comment and you have one more link which directs the search engines back to you.

‘High PR directories’ can also help with link popularity. Simply register with them and add your blog or business with popular tags (keywords related to your website or blog) and you can grow your PR steadily.

  4. latief,

sorry, but I don’t agree with this:

it’s like this: most important are anchor text links embedded in the text from related pages with high PR and authority

then: most government agencies, hospitals, universities and respected organizations have high PR and authority, not just because, but because most of them simply are really big, important sites.

but don’t forget: the links still need to come from related pages, otherwise google dismisses most of the link value, gov-edu or not

    • Thank for the detail :)
